Milind Shimpi G. D. Art
Milind Vishnu Shimpi is an award‑winning Indian artist whose work blends classical discipline with an imaginative, devotional spirit. Born on 27 June 1970, he earned his G. D. Art ( Drawing & Painting ) with First Class from Abhinav Kala Mahavidyalay, Pune (1990–91). Over three decades, Milind has created paintings, illustrations, and airbrush works that have reached collectors across India and abroad, while mentoring countless students through live workshops and demonstrations.
Artistic Belief
Milind sees art as a way to make the unseen visible—a means to express the divine presence in everyday life. He believes perfect painting emerges from rigorous study, observation, disciplined practice, and a deep understanding of light, shade, and color. This philosophy guides both his studio practice and his teaching.
Early Journey
Encouraged by his parents and guided by dedicated teachers, Milind began drawing in childhood, selling his earliest sketches to local art lovers. At Abhinav Kala Mahavidyalay, he consistently ranked at the top of his class and actively participated in competitions, winning prizes that fueled his confidence and commitment to art.
